When I walk into my studio I sense sanctuary sparking creative energy. LIght and warmth fill the space where my paints, supplies, papers and colors are all easily accessible and considered by me to be good friends.
A good portion of my life has been spent as a professional dance/theatre performer, director, choreographer and arts educator. Has been spent as a Mother of now three growns and three grandchildren. What a blessing. All of it!
Throughout this life of mine the paintbrush has been my joy and solace. The paint brush that that has been creating emotionally driven art pieces that “speak”. Speak of dance, movement, and music. Speak of the art embodied in everyday events. Speak of the natural beauty living outside my light filled studio. Speak of relatable, familiar, life experiences that show our shared human experience.
